Bhakti began practicing yoga in earnest after recurring joint injuries throughout her childhood, she started a regular practice in 1988 in Oakland, CA. the daughter of a dedicated meditator bhakti was introduced to yoga at a young age both as a physical therapy for her joint issues, and as a contemplative discipline and lifestyle.
Her fascination with yoga has persisted throughout her life and proved to be a steadying influence through repeated injuries and diagnosis, as well as the navigation of daily life. A performer and professional actor, bhakti also found value in yoga as a deep inner tool for exploration of the human condition. she became inspired to teach in 2005 when she moved into an ashram in order to dive even more deeply into the heart of this work.
After leaving the ashram and returning to Chicago, where her now husband Zach was patiently waiting, she opened her own studio. Bhakti has taught thousands of classes, received several specialty certifications, and led over 50 teacher trainings supporting people in joining the amazing yoga teaching community. She also served as the resident Acharya leading the Chicago Ashram’s spiritual Community for eight years, before meeting Fransisco Kaiut and ultimately relocating to Boulder in 2016.
In addition to teaching yoga full time, Bhakti is the homeschooling parent of an almost teenager. when she’s not teaching, you will find her play9ing board games and snuggling up with her family (which includes husband, kiddo, sister , 3 dogs and 2 cats), baking, swimming, paddle boarding, and traveling the world.
Nikki Rogers: Co-Lead Teacher
RYT 500, Certified Kaiut Teacher, and Pilates Instructor

Nikki grew up as a very active child, dancing throughout grade school and into high school She eventually earned her BFA in Dance from the University of Alabama. After college she moved to Atlanta and found a job working for the Atlanta Ballet. As a dancer Nikki was naturally drawn to the Pilates method and the idea of building long, strong, flexible muscles. She was quickly convinced to sign up for the 700 hour teacher training. That was the beginning of her career as a teacher. Nikki had found her calling.
Nikki discovered Ashtanga yoga around that same time, and was immediately drawn into the physical aspects of the practice. It was a fantastically demanding practice, but after a number of years She felt like there was something missing. So over the next 15 years Nikki explored various styles to see what felt like a “fit” for her. it was during this exploration that she experienced some injuries that had her questioning the safety of some of these practices. In addition, she had suffered a debilitating neck injury. after living with chronic pain for many years, a teacher friend of mine convinced me to try a “new” method of yoga called Kaiut Yoga, and the rest, as they say, is history.
After a few months of dedicated practice, she experienced healing the doctors said wasn’t possible without surgery. Her pain was gone, and Nikki regained full mobility. The anxiety that was a huge part of her life was now manageable. She was sleeping better. It also brought a new and different appreciation of her body that she never had before. And she owes all of it to this practice and to her willingness to try something new.
Outside of the yoga world, Nikki can be found hanging with her family and fur babies, thrift shopping, and planning her next trip to the beach!
